This week Anne made us a surprise visit. Thank you, terrific granddaughter.
This week I made an Italian silk tie for Tom with horsehair interfacing. Thank you, Peggy, for
walking me through it step by step.
This week I had lunch at the Copper Onion, loved the Pasta Carbonara so much that I took Tom back there for the same dish at dinner (while I drank a diet Coke)
This week I had lunch with friends from my ward in Daybreak--a lunch group that Linda and I started. Thanks for the many laughs, lunch group.
This week we had cinnamon apple tea on the terrace in our bathrobes. It's the beginning of a fine new tradition.
This week we saw an awesome movie at the Broadway: WIN WIN. Funny, sweet and smart.
And for other reasons too, it's been a lovely week.
i was thinking about copper onion's pasta carbonara this afternoon, which resulted in an attempt to make pasta carbonara this evening. it wasn't too shabby, but then it is hard to screw up bacon, cream, eggs and cheese....
ReplyDeletecopper onion's is better. i think it might have something to do with that raw egg they crack on to before serving. i'm too chicken to do that at home.
word to the wise: don't eat macarons from la bonne vie. they use crisco for their filling. it's an outrage.
For 6 spring terms, I cut tulips from in front of the administration building at BYU after midnight and hoped I wasn't picked up on a surveillance camera. I had magnificent bouquets all around my room! Thank you, BYU. I love Temple Square in the spring.
ReplyDeleteI walked through the gardens around Temple Square on Wednesday and took a million pictures to post on my blog, but haven't yet. Your picture is way better than any one of my million. I'm glad you ate at the Copper Onion. My friend from college, Ryan Lowder, is the owner. He's a cool cat.
ReplyDeleteOh Jacqueline, you were a tulip thief! Another reason to love you.
