The Agony and the Ecstacy

As it turns out, the foot pain is not the most bothersome. It's my tongue that feels like it's taken a spin in a blender. The pain killer takes care of my foot but gives me a splintered tongue. This was unexpected. Also unexpected is the sheer panic I feel when Tom pushes me around in a wheelchair through spurred and rocky landscapes (driveways) that sets the foot off in awkward angles bouncing against stainless steel chair struts.

What I have learned: I should have gone to Night One of my 50th high school reunion (I love you, Virgil Eckstrom), and I should have skipped Night Two. The body knows.

Tom got me some chocolate pudding from Trio's today, because my tongue needed it. Delish.
I'm not leaving the house again. I'm watching all the years of A TOUCH OF FROST on Netflix.

I AM NOT LEAVING THE HOUSE.

  1. I've been thinking of and wondering about you. This week we'll bring you a bucket of red and pink roses.

  2. Do I need to confess that Tom and I stole some roses when you weren't home?

  3. Yes. Yes you do. The bucket will now only be half full.

  4. Now where did you get the idea to steal roses...? (You are not pregnant are you? ) I've read all the books you gave me and I'm ready for more. I did try to steal some daisies for you from Island Park on Saturday, but they've now wilted. We are in Bear Lake and won't be home until Wednesday. I'll try to come and see you after the 4th, but you'll be in my prayers continually!
