It's better on Sunday. It's better to pray and give thanks and sing as if angels have your back. It's better to believe in that God/baby in Bethlehem than sneer through life in rational rightness.
It IS better on Sunday. My dad grew up Catholic and converted to Mormonism. It was always a special treat as a kid to stay up until midnight and watch mass with him. It felt right...even though I'm Mormon.
This year we attended sacrament meeting in the oldest functioning LDS chapel in the world. It was surrounded by snow and as I sat in the ancient pine pews, I felt like Laura Ingalls Wilder on the coziest Christmas ever.
I loved Christmas on Sunday! It helped to have 11:30 church.
ReplyDeleteIt IS better on Sunday. I was over my cold enough finally to be able to sing. Our lovely meeting clocked in at under an hour. Merry Christmas!
