Okay, so I will plan a workshop for autobiographical writing. It won't cost more than $100. And I will think about having a second one in the evenings. Then I will think about having one in Arizona.
I'm thinking nine to one for three days. Or six to ten in the evening. Or a Friday, Saturday thing. Or all of the above.
I will make a blurb.
I will set up a pay-pal account.
I figure ten to fifteen people. No more than fifteen.
Definitely no correspondence course. What's the fun in that?
No exams. No shame.
Yay! I already have a Pay Pal account (for once I am AHEAD of the technology curve) and thank you for keeping this slice of fabulousness very affordable.
ReplyDeleteIn anticipation of your class, I have organized my Christmas cards in order of proximity to SLC. The good news is I have more than 5 Christmas card relations that live within reasonable distance of the Valley. So depending on the details, one of my holiday friends/family is going to have the joy of my presence this spring during your workshop! How fun is that for the universe? Super awesome, I say.
This is what I was talking about when I told my husband that for Christmas I didn't want stuff, I want experiences. He thought I meant a gift card to Panera Bread. Silly boy!
Thanks so much, Louise. For reals. This will be great.
Not sure if it is autobiographical writing that is a real draw but more that LP is! I'm in if it falls around May 30.
ReplyDeleteI'm in.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your posted dates with a plug for some sort of evening session if I may.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm very excited!
Phew. No shame. I'm in.
ReplyDeleteAny chance you'd be up for a NY section next? If not, my UT relatives may just get a visit.
ReplyDeleteNOW things are getting exciting! I vote Thursday, Friday, & Saturday daytime, optional activities in the evenings (going out to dinner, movies, partying like teenage girls, or writing secluded in our own quarters while we're inspired).
ReplyDeleteWould you run this like some workshops, with warm-up exercises, and maybe even an overnight assignment to bring back the next day and share? Just wondering. I'm excited!
sign me up for your az class!!
ReplyDeleteSo if it goes well (like, everyone loves your shimmy), would you consider doing it again? I only live 30 minutes south of you, and I could totally use some ME time at a writing workshop (what would that be like?!?!). However, I'm due with #4 in May... and the due date is kinda sketchy, and my babies come pretty fast. While I appreciate others' welcoming responses to having babies along in class, I really don't want to be birthing my baby there. ;) In short, I'd love to take a rain check on the class!
ReplyDeleteJust fantabulous... here's another vote for an evening class!
ReplyDeleteOh Louise. Oh dear Louise. Please consider an AZ class, because that might be more feasible for me (ie, I can stay in my own home). If not, I can do SLC. And I can pay $100.
