Teaching--day 1

Thank you, dear friends, for the encouragement.

I wore pearls. Why? And red. And Boots. Plenty of lip gloss.

The biggest thing that happened had nothing to do with class. Tom dropped me off at my building and went to his own class. I was wearing sunglasses. When I got inside, I realized my reading glasses were in the car. This is where cell phones would have come in handy.

Instead, I walked a mile to his building and the car and a mile back. Glad I bought the briefcase on wheels. Glad I wore the back and knee braces.

The thing is I COULD walk two miles.

My two classes were filled with lovely fresh faces. One class has lots of musicians including a guy who won a grammy for some invention.

Home, toady, home.

  1. I'm glad you went with red. I was thinking red, but I hate to be the pushy, know-it-all type who thinks she can dress the world. Especially since I am self-employed and live in comfy sweatpants.

Sorry you had to walk a million miles but at least your glasses were reachable. Could have been really stressful if you forgot them at home.
Kudos on wearing the proper bracing. Sometimes it is the very best choice to accept help as needed.

Now, back to the unanswered question: How much would charge for me to hijack your writing class as a correspondence student? I believe God created Paypal just for events like this.

  3. Yesterday was my first day of class as well. I love seeing those fresh faces for the first time each semester. Yeah for you being able to walk those miles.

  4. I'm impressed that you were early enough to walk two miles and still hold your class. I'm late for just about everything. I always think I can squeeze just one more thing in before I leave. Boots and lip gloss and pearls! You're quite a lady.
