Light therapy in February

I finished grading papers in front of THE LIGHT BOX today. It's a depressing exercise and more so in February. I can't think of a good thing to say about February, except that it's short.

But here's a good thing, I got new glasses and now I can see. I thought my vision was blurred because I have the beginnings of cataracts. It turns out I have astigmatism in my right eye. I can't stop babbling about this new, clear eyesight. "I can see really well," I tell Tom thirty times a day. "I can't believe how well I can see."

The downside is I HAVE to wear glasses. Does this mean I can't try out for cheerleading?

I see that our apartment needs painting and a thorough cleaning. That's not happening today.

What's NOT HAPPENING at your house?

  1. Louise! Guess what! I signed with an agent today!!! So, I guess what I'm saying is, between the agent and my birthday, February is definitely a GREAT month!

Also, I'm sure you pull off glasses wonderfully :)

  3. I think we might all have to ride on Taryn's coattails for happiness in February. Nicely done Taryn.

Also, Louise, maybe you should keep the glasses off. Then you might not notice that the house needs to be cleaned.

My laundry didn't get folded today.

    Four loads.

  4. Dishes. They will rot until tomorrow.

I was at the mall and passed a Chinese massage stand. I thought of you and wondered how you were doing at keeping up on the massage front. I need to you to be relaxed and in excellent shape when it comes time for our summer writing class.

I told my husband that I was going to go see The Artist with a friend since I knew he wouldn't like it (no car crashes, etc.) He looked up the reviews for it and decided it looked interesting. We are going tonight! Thanks for the recommendation. I'm sure we will like it.

  5. My laundry never gets folded until I guilt myself into doing it. Washed, yes. Folded, no. I probably won't clean my house to my MIL's satisfaction either, but that's ok because she'll be here for two weeks so she can clean it to her own satisfaction which is practically spring cleaning for us. Bonus! I think I'll go take out my contacts to so I don't have to see what else needs doing.

  6. Today being Valentine's Day, I thought I would not do quite a few things. You know, to celebrate. Today I am NOT:

    -buying maternity lingerie
    -cleaning
    -going running
    -organizing the closet
-taking clothing to the DI truck
    -going to the grocery store
    -eating anything by candlelight
    -feeling sexy

  9. LIFE UPDATE FOR LOUISE: We went to The Artist. Loved it. Even the man who is untrainable when it comes to entertainment choices really liked it. Happy V-Day to me!

  10. Did you finish off lunch with the Costco twisted ice cream? Mmmm so good.

My only nod to valentine's day was to get dinner ready before my husband walked through the door - and that 's mostly because he got me a card and I didn't get him anything. Yay guilt. Which then I was relieved I had made dessert as well since he came home with flowers.

And my laundry didn't get folded either.
