One goal for 2013

For the last few years, I've been avoiding goals, but this year I am going to work on my story, my memories, or to give it the fancy name, my memoir.  I may start at the beginning, but I doubt I'll move through it chronologically.  I'll skip around as I remember events.  I have my own scanner for pictures so there will be photographs as I can provide them.

I'm doing it on this blog, because it's as good as sticking them in a box, maybe better, because my family can find it forever and ever throughout the universe and beyond.  My blog will survive me, unless the rules change.

I thought of opening a new blog, but that is just confusing.  I don't multi-task.

When it comes to genealogy, I don't care much for collecting names, but I find the stories fascinating.

  1. Oh yea! This will be fun. Maybe I will be inspired and write too. My story is messy but needs to be told just so my family doesn't repeat it. Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. Last week at FHE I gave each person a prompt to tell some story of themselves (a get to know you if you will) and though these people are not master story tellers like you Louis, they were interesting and funny and revealing aspects of these people you just don't see on Sunday. I've been married nearly 33 years, and I'd never heard the story Bob told about a dog they owned who was a scrapper. I'm going to look forward to reading your posts.
