Janie got married

My sister, Janie, and Q. were married on Saturday night.  The chapel was filled with all of Janie's best friends.  Her son-law, Mike, performed the service.  The couple looked radiant with happiness.  They were lined up by their children, who are friends.  Unfortunately, all these people live in Washington and Janie will join them.  A second reception will be held in a barn presumably on the ranch where they'll live.

This picture taken with Rian's iphone, shows them wrapped with ribbons at the end of the Dutch polonaise, a celebrative march of the whole wedding company that ends with "hip hip hurrahs" and lifting the couple off the floor onto young men's shoulders--always a moment of tension.  So far no one has died or toppled on their heads.  I think in the future, we should pass out morphine to some of us more aged folks for the Polonaise.  Or just hand it to us in a little gift packet, so that we'll be able to get out of bed in the morning.

Hip hip Hurrah!
