Zum Schwarzen Kameel

I've been keeping my prescription drugs and vitamins in this bag on the right, which I got at an amazing chocolates store (and restaurant)--Zum Schwarzen Kamel-- in Vienna in the summer of 2010. If you look closely, you can see a tear at the back of it near the bottom.

I was grieving over having to replace the bag with something more mundane, more domestic, a bag not from the Bognergasse.

Then Tom told me that Rob McFarland had posted on FB that he had gone to the Schwarzen Kameel for breakfast.

I said, "Oh oh oh!" and shook my fists in the air like a girl. "Is it too cheeky to ask him to go back and get me a replacement bag?"

If you have to ask that question, it probably is too cheeky.

But Tom asked, and Rob sent word that he had the bag.  Oh oh oh!  He and Marianne drove up to Tom's art show in Ogden (from Provo) and delivered said bag with a baby bag inside it.

Each time I see the bag, I see Marianne's face with that knowing look.  I will carry that kindness into eternity with me.
