Tom and I sat on our terrace for some actual sun. A light coat is enough now that the weather is warmer. We talked about our planned fishing trip to the reservoir in Otter Creek State Park, about three hours south of Salt Lake. An old grain silo in Antimony will be our home for three nights. Tom ordered the following: a pole, a reel, a pole case with a reel pouch, a fishing jacket and an inflatable kayak (we now have two of these). He is like a kid at Christmas as these items appear in the mail.
He told me that the pole and reel are exactly the same as the ones he had as a kid when he fished with his father or his Uncle Roscoe. Bait fishing, not fly fishing. To hell with fly fishing.
I like fishing without a pole. I dawdle with the fisherman. The fisherman likes me dawdling along. We will eat trout and buttery potatoes and brussel sprouts and Dove dark chocolate. We will photograph sunsets and sheep.
Anticipation is delectable.
Nice...
