The good news and the bad news

The good news: Sam and Sarah are expecting a baby in May. At twelve weeks, the baby is the size of a kumquat. Hey, that's a great name--Kumquat Plummer, and it works for either sex.

The bad news: Kim Kardashian is getting a divorce after 72 days of marriage. Darn it.

The good news and the bad news: Jesus loves Kim Kardashian as much as he loves you and me.

  2. Good for the Plummers! Since the world now has 7 billion people, what is one more? Like my grandma always said, "If you can feed four people, its not hard to feed twelve." (She had a boatload of kids.)
Although I don't doubt Jesus has love for Kim Kardashian, I do think He would be shaking his head, wondering how she missed some really basic lessons He taught.
On to the really great news - Louise has leopard print Biorn shoes!! I may have to upgrade to dark blue from my basic black Biorns.

  3. Bjorns. Sheesh. I wear the silly things everyday. You'd think I know how to spell them.

  4. The good news is: the baby has graduated from the size of a kumquat to that of a medium shrimp. I think a kumquat is way cuter, though.

In other news: I've never watched the Kardashians. I'm thinking this is a good thing.

  6. I had to look up what a Bjorn shoe was. Hick that I am. But I can see why all are entralled with them. Good news for Kumquat Carrier. I hope that's contagious.

  7. I'm guessing that God does love all of us, and I am guessing He doesn't like it when one of us spits on the sanctity of marriage vows.

    Congratulations on the newest Plummer.

  9. I question this assumption that Jesus loves Kim K. as much as me and you. I know it feels good to say Jesus loves us all the same, but we know that God has a "chosen people." So doesn't it follow that He also has a "less chosen" people?

Even though it feels distasteful, I don't think God really loves us all "the same." I think He has preferences. Like how we all have a favorite kid, but no one likes to admit it.

    Also, hooray! Babies are great.
