The little black stool project

The stool was on the list I made earlier in the week: I was to sand it and paint it. I did that and then decided I wanted to make a pillow cover for it. The fabric is an old April Cornell tablecloth. I cut and sewed it by hand, because I didn't want to read the directions to my sewing machine yet again. It has a feather filling from an old pillow. I wouldn't want anyone examining it too closely, but as "art" projects go, I'm happy with it.

This stool is in my bathroom so I can sit when I dry my hair and put on my make-up. I love it.

  7. I'm impressed you sewed by hand. I try to limit hand sewing to leap year.
