Last minute shopping. Drove all over town without a plan but sang Rodolfo's "Che gelida manina" along with Pavarotti--he makes me sound really good-- the tenor part of the Hallelujah Chorus, and I pom pommed the drums from Bach's Christmas Oratorio. I did not look sideways at stop lights--too inhibiting.
Ate chocolate turtles in the car.
I dress up when I go shopping. People treat me well. Packaging: it's important.
Sun shone all day. No pollution. Rut a tum tum and rooty toot toot.
Love this. So true about packaging. I wear every diamond I own and glam it up to push through the thick crowds of tourists in Tiffanys this time of year. Uggs and a North Face jacket suggest you're there for the sterling silver counter. Dressed well, the doorman pulls you through to the private elevator. I can hear you singing the Hallelujah Chorus. I've had a few too many Toblerone bars this season and the client gifts are rich in calories. I'm actually craving a carrot. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, dear Jacqueline. Loved the Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how I ever came upon your blog, but I do appreciate your writing and look forward to every entry.
ReplyDeleteThank you, and do not stop.
Sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI worked all day. The 23rd is a challenging day to work retail, actually. But I sold a lot of books and that was great.
Meanwhile, Santa showed up at our house on Sunday. He was beyond awesome this year.
