Miracle alert

In the tradition of our family, Rian posted this sign on our bedroom door yesterday morning.  Tom and I, meanwhile, hired a mover and told the apartment management that we were moving in a month.  (Oh ye of little faith).

Friday night we got a call from people who wanted to look at our Daybreak house.  We met them this morning.  They said their son had to look at it, so we left them a key and they returned in the afternoon without us.  We went to my niece's wedding in Hooper.

We returned after six.  I went to the grocery store, then I walked into City Creek, because downtown is filled with conference goers and I love the energy of all that humanity in one place.  I walked into Deseret Book, which was teaming with people.  Blogger and plane crash survivor, Nie Nie, was signing her new book and there was an enviable line waiting in front of her table.  I had to stop and gawp.   She looks amazingly good.  What a long haul it's been for her.

I stopped in at Anthropologie, because it makes me happy, and when I got home,  Tom said, "Our new renters just called."

People!  New renters!  And they're signing a two-year lease!  (Three exclamation points.  Way over the top).

We can stay where we are, which is what we really wanted.

Thank you, Rian, for making the sign.  Thank you, God of the universe.  I mean it.  Thank you.

  4. Yay! You're still a block away from me! So, theoretically, when I start walking again, I could still walk there. (Not that I ever have, actually... The two times I've stopped by, I drove a car. Gah. My carbon footprint SUX.)
