Moving

It's coming up on two years since we moved from our house in Daybreak to this fabulous location in downtown Salt Lake City.  Now our renters are moving on, and we haven't had a single phone call about renting our house, so we're moving back into it.  We can't afford to pay for two places.

I have already mourned about leaving what we both consider, a perfect apartment, an ideal community and a premier parade view.  Oh vel, as my mother used to say.  Oh vel.

Here's what's good about living in Daybreak:

1.  a stainless steel kitchen, four bedrooms, three and a half baths, and an interior courtyard, where I have and will again dance in my underwear.

2.  the Charles Plummer family close by.  Max and Murgatroyd can stop over.

3.  the lake.  I can kayak again.

4. I can have a small flower garden.

5.  the front porch.

6. we're twenty minutes closer to work.

7.  Harrison will be our bagger at Harmon's.

8. the view of the Oquirrh Mountains and Bingham copper pit from the second floor windows.

9.  the flowering pear tree in our front yard.

10.  Room in the basement for our boys and their families to stay on vacation.

11.  that bathtub in the master bath.

12. the empty nesters

13.  Trax

14.  that lovely mall of trees from the lake to the temple that Jerry Brown designed.

15.  Hobby Lobby

16.  Biking trails
