A corner of one's own

If it is not possible to have a room of one's own as Virginia Woolf dictates, than a corner of one's own will certainly do.  I nailed all my favorite images above the desk and on the left is the only window in the apartment that allows a view of the street.  It's perfect for writing in a notebook or on a laptop.
Art work is done on the dining room table.  This space makes me happy.

  1. I love you, Louise, you and your love of beauty and your love of spaces and ... Oh, hell, I just love you.

  2. It looks like a lot of light comes into the bedroom! And when will we see a picture of Grandpa's masterpiece desk space? :)

  3. I like Chinese Checkers as well. However, my teeny workspace desk looks wickedly cumbersome compared to your magazine-worthy shot. And my workspace doubles periodically as our guestroom, and that throws everything into a Donneybrook. Just this weekend I am tossing important paperwork into paper grocery bags (I recycle???) so that my 80+ parents can come visit and not trip themselves up.

    I'm a'likin' your antique (I presume)typewriter.

  5. As I looked around my bare walled office, the growing clutter of stacks of this and that, it might explain a few things. I'm hopping every which way these days trying to find a spot to land. I'm told if I clean up that mess, it will clean up my mind too.

  7. We've been in our current home almost five years (wow time flies) and I've moved my craft/studio space to almost every room in the house in search of a place to call my own. My husband jokes you can tell where I've been since each of those rooms iare painted in almost identical green colors. Light green feels springy to me, hence the color choice. I am now happily ensconced in the bonus room above the garage which has four large windows so I get lots of light. Now if I could just find copious amounts of time to spend there I would be in heaven. I loved your wall above the desk and may have to rethink mine. I agree with your grand daughter, when do we get to see Tom's?
