Esther Williams lives

Bill and Christine gave me this vintage swimming cap for my birthday. It's sheer Esther Williams, who was my favorite movie star in third grade. I love this cap. It fits just right!

Even if you tip over when walking, you can still swim. Even if all your joints hurt, you can swim. The greatest luxury in life is to have the swimming pool all to yourself. All. To. Yourself.

Honestly, if I saw Fernando Llamas come at me in the water, I'd say, "Get the hell out of my pool."

Usually I'm swimming outdoors in Phoenix all year-round, but it's currently too cold even for a heated pool. Esther Williams was my favorite, too.
