Black and white knockout

I pulled this off Apartment Therapy today, because I love all the graphics at work here: black/white, numbers, letters, stripes, diamonds, half circles and squares in the window. All softened with a vase of forsythia.

Say it out loud: forsythia. It's a word that puts a smile on your face.

  1. Before I read the last sentence I thought to myself, "Wow, forsythia. That's nice!"
Maybe I should grow some. That plants looks like it can handle Utah.

  2. I didn't know what a forsythia was until I read George Ella Lyon's "Where I'm From" poem. I had to look it up. Isn't that sad?

I love the black and white decor. Also, sorry for all my recent typos.

  3. I love the contrast. I have huge aspirations when it comes to home decor, but always end up with basic beige-y things because:1. When we were broke newlyweds that was the in look, so I have tons of brown things. 2. We had kids and are you kidding? Who has anything white in the house? Even if I did have beautiful white things, they would have quickly turned beige with the amount of yuckiness in our house. 3. I hate shopping. If it ain't broke, I'm not replacing it.
