I am mesmerized by old photos. The charming young woman in the white hat is my father's kindergarten teacher. With one hand, she holds his hand and the other hand rests on his shoulder. This must have been 1922 when he was five going on six.
Attention my grandchildren! You'll love this little fact. My father was still being breast-fed at age five. He remembers standing on a table and asking his mother for a drink.
How's that for an image to cripple you for life?
Holy cow, that looks like Daniel! I love those Roos genes. They make beautiful babies!
ReplyDeleteYuuuuck, Grandma! Have you no filter?
ReplyDeleteI love the picture.
Your dad had quite the life. I am still thinking about his arm being rebroken without anesthesia. I have heard that in other countries breastfeeding goes on a long time. I've never known anyone personally who 'fessed up to it. Now I have to think about that, too....

ReplyDeleteLara, I love the site. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, he was the youngest of three.
I'm traumatized as a breast feeding mother to think this could go on and on and on. Not with my son. Bless great-grandmother's heart.
ReplyDeletemy son Sam would probably still be breastfeeding if I let him. kid's got an Oedipal thing going on.
