Moon Phases

Blogger T.W.A. records the phases of the moon.  I wasn't listening in school when we learned these, so I'm placing them here.  Just saying "waxing gibbous moon" makes me smile.

I lost a pound and a half.

Kathryn Purdie has an agent for her book.

Things are looking up.  The moon is a waxing crescent today, which means it's getting bigger.

I'm looking up.

  1. Doesn't anyone else out there go to the bathroom in the middle of the night? What's there to do for those moments, but look out and enjoy the view? The moon phases and the constellations have made my nocturnal loo visits so much more interesting.

But it means, too, that I have to put my glasses on...

  2. Yes, and we see the moon in all of these stages and whisper, "Ooh and aah" and "Look, the moon looks like a cut fingernail," but never learned if it was waxing or waning or gibbous.
