I am done with teaching

Tonight, I finished grading and recorded it with UVU and I AM DONE WITH TEACHING for the second time in my life. I love college students and despise grading. I hate the drive. I hate meetings.

I am going to write a little book about writing memoir, complete with prompts and examples.
Tomorrow, I will write the first chapter, short and pithy.

Up, up and away!

Well, you were one of my favorite teachers by far. But I can relate to the "hate grading" part. My problem with teaching was I never really got to the "love college students" part, either. :-)

I am not a writer, but I think memoir is the genre that most appeals to me as a reader or a writer. I will buy this book when it is published. I even intend to read it and use it. Thank you for writing it for me. I am going to skip over my envy that your semester is finished while I still have two weeks of serious work as a student left and go right to enjoying the fact that my grading gig involves numbers and requires very few brain cells to execute.
